Jesse Hines Bio
I grew up on the Outer Banks and started surfing when I was 9. I am 29 now so that gives me 20 years experience in the water; 10 of those a traveling professional. I have been able to travel all over the world, from Yemen to Alaska, but Kitty Hawk is my home. Surfing is my life and my hope is to share the joy of being in the water through these surf schools.

Please notice there is a 5 day spread...the reason for this is to make sure that 3 days can be surfed during the period...red flags, rain outs, flat spells etc can be accomodated by scheduling 5 days and doing the camp during 3 of those days...sort of like a waiting period for a contest... The Jesse Hines Surf camp is for 3 days. - The camps will start at 8 am and run though 11 am.

The camps will be limited to 12 campers per week. - The camper to instructor ratio will never be greater than 3 to 1. The emphasis will be on safety first, followed by fun, followed by etiquette, followed by skill development. The instruction can be for any skill level, novice to expert. Jesse has enough skill to help any surfer gain from the experience. One of the weeks will be devoted purely to non novice surfers.

The weeks are: July 20-24 Novice, etc - July 27-31 Novice, etc

Aug 3-7 Intermediate to experienced - Aug 10-14 Novice, etc

The other instructors are: Ronnie Brooks - Brittany Diggs - Kim Diggs - Whitney Hines - Lynn Shell - Robert Farmer ( Farmdog Surf School )

The other instructors will provide photos and bio info as well, which I will forward over to you ASAP. Also add bio info for myself, Brittany and Whitney to the farmdog site

These rates are for ~2 hours of shooting and a CD of edited, full resolution, photographs.

I'll probably shoot from the water a bunch and some on land, depending on group size, conditions, ect..

1 person, 45$

2-3 people, 35$ per person

4-5 people, 25$

6-8 people, 20$

9+, 15$

The camp will provide the following: Boards from INT Surfboards ( www.intsurfboards.com ) (Firewire demos available for the non novice week, firewire site www.firewiresurfboards.com )

Sunblock by Watermans Applied Science (www.watermansappliedscience.com) - Rash guards (hopefully) by O’neill (www.oneill.com )

Refreshments (tentatively Vitamin Water, or possibly Le Bleu) Camp T shirt - Camp Goodie bag

The campers will assemble at OBBC on the Monday morning of the assigned week by 8am. We will need to make or link to a map of Nags Head. The camp has a 5 day window in order to have 3 good days of surfing. The campers will have to be flexible as the weather and surfing conditions can be volatile during the summer. We are trying to provide an ideal learning environment.
